In addition to school-sponsored activities in the middle schools, the Juneau Afterschool Coalition launched B.A.M. (Body & Mind, Before/After Middle School) in 2012. B.A.M., named by students in a contest and vote, is a program of new and diverse community-based before and after school activities created in cooperation with Floyd Dryden and Dzantik’i Heeni. Activities take place in the school or on school grounds. B.A.M. activities in 2012-13 include:
