School Improvement

Annually, Alaska schools are designated for improvement within four categories. Here is more information on Juneau School designations and categories:



CSI-Graduation Rate (graduation rate for the school was less than 66.67%)



Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (schools with a subgroup who scored below the index score set by the lowest 5% of Title I-A Schools)

  • HomeBRIDGE – Two or More Races and Students with Disabilities



Targeted Support and Improvement (schools with a subgroup scored below the index score set by the lowest 10% of Title I-A Schools). This is a new designation. It is a warning level; no funding is provided and no plan of action is required by DEED. District’s determine support plans.



Universal Support (index value is higher than schools identified as the lowest 5% of Title I schools, the graduation rate is higher than 66.67% for schools with grade 12, and the index values for each subgroup in their school is higher than schools identified as the lowest 5% of Title I schools)
