Music in Juneau
I sometimes sing in the 9:30 Choir at Chapel by the Lake, a Presbyterian Church overlooking Auke Lake and the Mendenhall Glacier.
Another opportunity to sing is with workshops put on by the Juneau Lyric Opera. I've really enjoyed singing Handel's Messiah, as well as
participating in the Mid-Winter Vocal Festival each January.
One of the reasons why I moved to Juneau was to play bassoon in the Juneau Symphony. As I always say
about Juneau, "It's big enough to have a symphony, but small enough to let me play in it. I'm really enjoying the fine conductors, great music, and great musicians that I get to work with.
