Throughout the year, students will use a wide variety of tools to achieve the goals of this unit. Listed in Links are some of the websites that were consulted while writing this unit. Hopefully, funding will be available for Riverbend to purchase some media literacy materials for use during this unit (including some great videos and interactive media literacy CD's. Students will use scanners, digital cameras, digital camcorders, editing equipment, multimedia projectors, televisions, VCR's, radios, computers, the Internet, and appropriate software, such as Microsoft Works, Excel, PowerPoint, HyperStudio, KidPix Studio, Flipbooks, webpage editing software such as Netscape Composer. The students have several handouts, which are available as PDF files on the Tasks page of this site. Specific tools for each task are listed with the description of each task on the Task page.
