Nancy Seamount
Nancy received her Teaching Credential from the University of Alaska, Southeast. She also has a Masters degree in Counseling and a School Counseling Credential from Fresno State, California, and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Nancy Seamount has taught health at JDHS for 19 years. She previously spent five years as a counselor at Harborview, Glacier Valley and Mendenhall River Elementary Schools. Her first job in Juneau in 1981 was as a Prevention Specialist for the National Council on Alcoholism.

Carol Shurson

Carol graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth with a bachelors degree in Home Economics Education. She has continued her education at UAS and is within one class of finishing an accounting degree. Carol has taught Family and Consumer Sciences classes in Minnesota and Juneau. She has taught at both Floyd Dryden and JDHS.

Carol taught at JDHS in 1995-1997 and then returned in 2005. She was also a RALLY site manager and the scheduling person for community schools before teaching at JDHS.
