TESTING DATES 2011-2012
Students can see counselors for academic, post-secondary, social or emotional concerns at any time. We welcome students to come in and visit at any time, however appoinments are suggested. Sign-up sheets for appointments are outside of each counselor's office.
Students then get an appointment slip from the Counseling Department administrative assistant which must be presented to your teacher in order to leave class for an appointment.

Bob Swanson is the JDHS Drug and Alcohol Counselor, NCADD, CDC 1.
Bob has been employed in the field of substance abuse treatment for 10 years. He is an Alumni of JDHS and the University of Hawaii @ Hilo. Bob's former careers include but are not limited to Commercial Fishing, Chef, and Underground Explosives Technician. He is also currently on call @ Bartlett Hospitals Rainforest Recovery Center.

Jennifer Knaggs

Jennifer Knaggs grew up in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. She originally joined the JDHS team as an AmeriCorps VISTA for the C.H.O.I.C.E. program in 2007.

Mischa Plunkett
|
Mischa earned a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz in California and an M.Ed in Sport & Recreation Administration from Temple University in Philadelphia.
Mischa has been working with Southeast Alaska Native youth since 2006. She enjoys working with students in the Juneau School District.
Mischa is Lingít; she is Shangukeidí (Thunderbird) from the Kaawdliyaayi Hít (House Lowered from the Sun) in Klukwan. |
