All parents of school-aged children are welcome to attend meetings. Notices are posted in the Juneau Empire. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to advocate for the educational, emotional and social needs of children.

The Indian Studies Program is administered by the Juneau School District with oversight provided by the Indian Studies Parent Board. The Parent Board meets monthly throughout the school year to set policy and direction for program goals and activities, to oversee and approve budget expenditures, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. All meetings are open to the public. They occur at the District Office (811 12th St.). The Parent Board welcomes all Alaska Native/American Indian families to monthly family activities. Notice of the dates, times, locations, and featured presentation for these events are announced via the bi-monthly newsletter "Families" and through notes/flyers sent directly to student's homes.
