The Juneau School District has a District Improvement Plan. The purpose of this annually revised plan is to increase student achievement and meet the goals of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). Currently, the district is in the fifth year of Level 4 Corrective Action. The process for improvement looks at student and district needs and prepares action plans based on researched-based practices. Each year, the district asks parents and guardians of our students for participation in this process. Please call the federal programs coordinator at 523-1730 for further questions or email Kimberly_Homme@jsd.k12.ak.us for a copy of the latest draft.
For more information about the District's student achievement results please refer to the Juneau School District Report Card to the Public.
