JDHS Receives Student Council of Excellence Award

The JDHS Student Council recently returned from the Spring Conference of the Alaska Association of Student Governments (AASG) in Healy, AK.  At that conference, the students were awarded the Student Council of Excellence Award.  This is akin to winning the state championship!  The Student Council submitted a portfolio binder documenting their work as a council in the last two years.

JDHS student Tori Talley also was awarded Fourth Place in the Alaska Association of Student Government Media Contest for Suicide Prevention.  This contest is sponsored jointly by AASG and ANTHC (Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium).  She won a prize of $200 for her video "2 Words - You Matter".

CONGRATULATIONS!
