The Juneau School District has begun the search for a new principal for Juneau-Douglas High School. Principal Ryan Alsup has announced that he will be leaving at the end of the school year. The Juneau School District would like to thank Mr. Alsup for his service to the students and families of JDHS, and wishes him all the best.

He asked our current JDHS school community for additional feedback on what qualities are most important in choosing the next school principal.
The attachements below include: an outline of the principal hiring process, feedback collected from the school community in 2009, input submitted by the JDHS site council in 2009, new lists of qualities provided by staff and parents this year, and the position description.
